Pasaje del Terror Blackpool - Halloween 2014
Pasaje del Terror terrifies thousands of guests every year in Blackpool and we always look forward to our annual visit to see if the attraction still packs a punch. Upon entering the dark and ominous façade, we descended down deep into the darkness, and it was time to give 3 spine curdling knocks on the door numbered 666.
Pasaje del Terror has great history, with many locations and incarnations (See previous reviews) and it’s great to see the brand still delivering the scares on Blackpool’s sea front. Although the layout and scenes of the maze remain the same, it was nice to see new theming to the Dracula scene as well as improving the lighting in numerous areas of the maze. We have visited Pasaje del Terror multiple times but thanks to the new atmospheric lighting, we could now see more of this extremely well themed attraction.
Although many of the iconic characters are now becoming slightly dated, the actors still bring them to life! Pasaje del Terror still uses all the right tools to scare the general public. However, another year has passed and we are still yet to see a new scene or character added to the attraction. It would be nice to see some more modern horror movie icons and maybe retire some of the classic scenes.
We also would have loved to have seen more of a nod to the fact that we visited during the Halloween season. There was no extra theming or story, which is a shame as the attraction seems to have missed a marketing opportunity that The Dungeon up the road have capitalised on. Hopefully they will get more in the halloween spirit for Blackpool pleasure Beach's Vampire beach event on Oct 31st
