Have you also visited this or any other attractions recently? - tell us what you thought here

Scary - I went to spooky world last year with a bunch of friends and we all loved it the money was worth it. It was very scary indeed and I will be paying a trip back there this year.

Not scary at all -
Total let down, about 4 actors a lot of walking around in puddles and mud, and very poor attempts and cheap props to attempt to scare. Farmageddon is by far the best scare attraction. spooky world are the mess under Farmageddons shoes and they need to learn from attractions like this.
Spooky world Rip off and waste of time DONT GO!!!!

Terrifying - I have been coming to spooky world for years now; I have been coming for 8 years. It’s obvious the park gets better and better each year, due to investments they make in the attractions and the makeup department.
I visited twice this year, I firstly went on opening night and although it was scary, I felt like the actors could have been more enthusiastic for their roles. So, with this in mind, I went back two weeks later and I am extremely happy I did.
Our first stop of the night was the haunted house, and although it has been other attractions in the past, you can tell the scenes and rooms are changed to fit the background story. What I like about spooky world is that each experience is different. The small entrance covers up how long the maze is and the layout of it makes you not know where you're going. The strobe lights and uneven floors really add to the effect. There are excellently places actors in this maze and it gets to the point where you don’t want to move past them.
Secondly we went to carnevil; this has to be one of my favourite mazes. As soon as we went in we had the men of our group wanting to run back out. Cages, lighting, hidden actors and UV paint really helps the effect of scare on this maze.
Thirdly, we made our way to the slaughter house. With knowing that the last time we went I was terrified we had high expectations for this maze. As we entered we were met by a butcher, not being scared at all I started talking to him and then he came very scary, very fast. With the props and banging on walls this maze has to be the scariest. What I like the most about this maze is that there are two high platforms which actors have air guns and chainsaws on. as we came to the opposite side of the first higher platform, we were introduced to two pigs, one on each side of the corridor, with them touching you and their pig snorts it really makes you uncomfortable but it really adds to the effect. When we came to the second high platform there was no chainsaw so I thought they changed it, but I was wrong!! With the actor with the chainsaw hidden under the platform, we walked past without noticing him. As we walked back inside of the maze, we heard the chainsaw rev. then the actor ran ins ide the tunnel and screamed "run piggies, fucking run!!” Now, most people disagree with swearing but I think it seriously adds to the effect. After being cornered by him; my friend and I escaped as soon as we could.
Finally, we went on the haunted hayride. Usually nobody really gets scared on this as it’s usually a fun attraction. But this year I was genuinely scared on this attraction and its obvious they’ve put a lot of thought into it which I really like.
In conclusion, I think spooky world is at the top of its game and has really put hard work into the event this year. The acting team is absolutely brilliant and I don’t know how they could get better. The only improvement I could possibly give is more actors roaming around the park. Congratulations spooky world!! Can’t wait to come back next year.
