Review - Is There Anybody There?
Please note - there is no official review of this event
Mildly scary - Despite the unfortunate outcome of Victor Hughes last investigation 5 years ago, (he was after all cleared of any involvement in the deaths) I was both honoured and excited to be invited to accompany Victor on his return to ghost hunting!
'Is There Anybody There' was the latest piece of immersive theatre from Faceless Ventures, who once again showed that they are not afraid to try something different. I experienced a very clever and engaging show that relied on 'audience' participation, hence making it truly immersive. Throughout the scenes, as the energy and activity seemed to build so did the nervousness, anticipation and captivation of my fellow ghost hunters. All culminating in a tense seance with a dark twist!...
Huge well done to all involved! It was a fantastic show.

Scary - This event was a unique mixture of immersive theatre, paranormal investigation and explores the area of 'misdirection and showmanship'.
A wonderfully creepy cast, subtle, intelligent lighting and sound effects, combined with a 'finale' which genuinely had a thrilling conclusion. I was immersed in the environment ..from start to finish! More original productions..such as these please? Top value for money

ery scary - Invited to an evening of paranormal investigation with the one and only Victor Hughes, I was honored to meet him. Creepy from the outset been led into the darkness, constant audience participation and fear of the unknown was definitely present. Not knowing what was around us and a strange lingering of some sort of presence throughout. Creepy, very well presented, well acted and kept us connected all the way through with what was going on around us. A wonderful piece of immersive theatre.
Terrifying- An immersive attraction. Unlike most scare attractions this was an hour long interactive experience which had virtually no music and was done mostly in the dark. The experience based on a ghost hunt idea. Our ghost hunt leader 'Victor' used clever magic and mind tricks using phsychic items like tarot cards and pendulums dousing, creating a truly supernatural experience. All the way throughout I thoroughly expected jump scares and sudden bangs but nothing came until the grand finally and not in the way you would expect. It was an experience built entirely on suspense and clever, darkness and illusion. This was an epic scare experience that was very different from the norm. I for one wanted to leave several times but friends forbade it and I am glad I didnt. But I do know that there was a safe word which was used by previous groups whom went in before me. Truly a unique attraction and one I would like to see again.
Review - Diary of a Deceased
Diary of a Deceased was a brand new half hour immersive theatre experience from the minds of faceless ventures (Cracked, Fraternity). This event was promised to be theatrical, non-extreme and fully immersive.
The event started by heading downstairs in the Mexborough Business Centre building. Above ground looks quite nice and grand, but below ground in the cellars lurks something far more sinister. We slowly made our way down the stairs to be greeted by a dead body in the morgue, it was this dead bodies life we were about to follow.
Nurse Harmsworth who explained this body was found with his diary, of which only four pages remain, greeted us. This scene set the story of the show. Next came a beautiful transition from the Nurse to a young boy taking us into his ‘den’. He took the book from the Nurse and took us back in time to when the found body was a child hiding in his den, hiding from the ‘night tremors’.
We were then taken on a journey through the boy’s troubled life and death. This attraction featured some great impact scares in-between some fascinating story telling. The attraction even included a singer, who sang during the death scene, which truly pulled the heartstrings of this reviewer.
Although this attraction would not be classed as a full on scare attraction per-se, it still packed in a nice few scares in each scene. The story flowed nicely and each character was believable and managed to both scare you whilst you felt compassion for the story.
This was quite a bold move for the Faceless Ventures team, most recently they are known for creating more extreme attractions. However, they have hit the Immersive horror theatre on the head and we thoroughly enjoyed our experience.

Review - Diary of a Deceased 2nd Opinion (contains spoilers)
Diary of a Deceased, brought to you by faceless ventures is a 30-minute immersive theatrical horror experience located in Doncaster, North Yorkshire. Located at the Mexborough business centre which is already said to be a haunted building added to the atmosphere of the attraction which we attended on Sunday 15th October.
As soon as you enter the reception area you are met with a very worried young teenager searching for her friend Megan and pleaded for us to help look for her. Of course, we offer to help and with that she promptly abandons us continues her desperate search. We are then asked to fill in a form promising to be quiet as possible because we are to be entering the mortuary of a hospital and must respect the dead.
Descending the steps leading us to the mortuary we are met with a sullen faced nurse and behind her a recently deceased person lying on a bench. We are informed that he had no name, no identity, no known family or friends and no one knew where he came from. The only thing he had was a diary which all the pages ripped out except for last four. The nurse assumes his name as Doe John as she reads from the diary describing his life that he had written before he died. He wrote of his despair about personal demons and how he never had peace from noises made by monsters in the dark. He wanted peace though he feared he may never have it.
Suddenly as though being thrown back in time a boy appears and encourages you to follow him. Taken back in time it appears the boy is that of the Doe John, the corpse seen in the mortuary and this is his childhood. He reads from a diary, it would appear these are the missing pages of his life. As a boy he played outside as do all children and made a tent to sleep in the garden. But then during the nights he spent in his tent, strange noises and monsters appeared from outside the tent that began to plague him and would do so for the remainder of his life. He knew not where they came from or why they taunted him. But they were horrifying demonic creatures that would one day consume him.
Leaving the tent, we encounter the creatures of his mind. A hooded demon and a clown which offered some great jump scares for us as we made our way through time to Doe Johns adulthood. A young woman who we discover to have been his girlfriend tells us of her love for him but no matter how strong that love was she could not chase his demons away. We are made to sit in a room surrounded by American flags. Doe John is sat with his back to us and his girlfriend sits with him. Suddenly we are left in darkness and we can hear the American National Anthem with the speech made by Donald Trump about making America great again, repeated in a disturbing manor. (That’s horrifying enough on its own) Slowly a strobe light comes into play and more demons appear to come and torment us. Eventually Doe John leaves and the demons follow him. His girlfriend explains that she did not understand his behaviour and that he just up and left one day breaking her heart. She leaves and in turn we follow too.
Back into the Mortuary the nurse we met before reads the final pages from his diary describing his end. Of which we are thrown into a scene of his death. Alone in the dark Doe John with his wrists slit and a demon singing a haunting rendition of ‘My Immortal’ by Evanescence. A very emotional scene not often seen in scare attractions and I imagine one that hits home with many.
Finally, we are sent on our way through the madness of clowns, demons and children of his past including a new comer to the world of death and torment ‘Megan’ the missing girl from the beginning. It appears she’s has been consumed by demons herself and has suffered the same fate as Doe John.
As we leave back through the mortuary Doe Johns corpse suddenly comes to life but he is not human. He is now a demon himself and wants to haunt us and bring depression, destruction and death to us all! Thankfully the Nurse is there to help and tells us to leave immediately! Run away and leave the demon and its minions behind.
Out into the real world safe and sound we had a chat with other people whom had been through the attraction which all agreed that it was indeed a very well thought out piece and unlike the typical scare maze it really hits home about real life horrors and mental health. Some great jump scares and fantastic acting, especially from the boy who played young Doe John. It was intense in the right places and the story had more depth whereas some attractions the plot doesn’t seem to have an ending or just loses the plot altogether. This was certainly worth a visit and very touching to add to the other great attractions out there.

Review - Fraternity
Fraternity was the latest attraction from the team behind the extreme events, Cracked and Project Fear. Although not advertised as a full on extreme attraction, the age limit was strictly 18 plus, and the website indicated that the event would be a challenge and that only those absolutely certain they can cope, should enter. The website also warned of the use of water, the requirement to remove clothing as well as being restrained and the use of stress positions. In the days running up to the event, a Facebook post reminded candidates that they would need to strip down to their underwear as a part of the experience.
After careful consideration of the terms and conditions on the Fraternity website and the warnings given, two different members of the ScareTOUR team decided not to participate in person.

Scary -5 out of 5
At first I was a little apprehensive when I heard about the clothing situation never the less I still attended, The attraction was very original in its concept and I loved every scene that was very intense emotionally and very strangely calming in some manner, I loved it - would love to see more of this attraction, the clothing situation was dealt with very tastefully and really added to the whole experience to add to the fully immersive experience.

Very scary - This was truly a first for the UK Scare Industry. It feels way too simplistic to rate the event on 'very scary' rating. The event was very accurate as it portrayed many elements of an 'initiation ceremony', from which I was a v active member. (Few years ago now!)
The actors and creative team were v sensitive in the approach to the subject matter. The combination of sound, vision and touch was beautifully executed.
An immersive 'horror' storyline ... which is continuing as I write this... This is simply the start of a journey... Newbies would simply luv this event ..honestly xxx

Rated it as terrifying because, whilst the attraction itself wasn't inherently scary, it was unnerving and completely indescribable: it was truly something you had to experience right from the start, especially in the ARG group.
There was nothing extreme, no bondage, no manhandling beyond being jostled (and you sometimes get that in boo haunts...), and the underwear element was done so tastefully that by the time the haunt started I felt comfortable and actually forgot I was in my underwear - it was only when I saw my trousers in the basket I left them in that I realised I still needed to get dressed.

I loved Fraternity. It was something unlike any other thing I have experienced in the European scare industry. I got to interact with characters months in advance, building an elaborate backstory - something that wasn't necessary to enjoy the main event, but a really cool bonus to those wanting to invest their time.
The event itself was a bizarre journey. Very serene, and really beautiful in tone. Several story elements were in place to tie in with the ARG backstory, for those who wanted to look for it. Although water elements, a tying up of hands and restriction of sight were in place, this was more immersive theatre than extreme horror. I would not call it an extreme event at all, actually. Strange, yet unique.
It was a leap of faith. Having trust in the order we were initiated in. And we were right to trust them. Wonderful show, and I hope this won't be the last we see of the Ordre d'Elysium.

An alone attraction taken to another level , bare feet, use of water and clothing removal all added to the vulnerability, facebook group behind the attraction added to the night and it felt u already knew the characters before you had even met them, excellent value for money would highly recommend
Mildly scary- Me and my husband traveled from Eskilstuna, Sweden for this - and we are both very pleased with the event.
It gave us all it told us it would, and without reveiling anything that would be a spoiler to others- it is very difficult to say anything other than what you can read at their facebookpage...Of course we discussed a lot before the event- and had a lot of thoughts of what it could be like, and many of our suspicions where quite right- in a good way:-)
The event was about 30 minutes, but it felt like 10- since it was intense-yet it gave us time to take it all in... The feeling is very hard to explain to someone who has not experienced it. Now we are part of Ordre d'Elysium- and all that comes with that is for us to know, and for you to find out... If you are worthy will say:-)
