U-Escape Review - Psycho Surgeon Escape
One of our team had previously escaped U-Escape’s Barber Shop Mystery room and we were eager to revisit and try our luck with the Psycho Surgeon room. The theme of this appealed to other members of the ScareTOUR team for obvious reasons but we must stress that this is not a ‘scare attraction’ and the level of scare is very low compared to other rooms we have been to.
Escape rooms are difficult to review as we don’t want to give anything away or give clues to those who might visit themselves! What we can say is that we thoroughly enjoyed Psycho Surgeon and managed to escape in 49 minutes. Our host, Jodie, switched into character as soon as the safety briefing was over to set the scene for what we were about to experience.
There were moments when we glanced at how much time we had left and genuinely thought we had no chance of escaping when faced with the amount of puzzles surrounding us. However, we worked well as a team and managed to link the elements together to get out before the psycho surgeon locked us in his surgery forever! We were pleased to say that there were some original ideas in there alongside a few that we had encountered in various guises before.
Although there were flickering lights & background noises to add to the theme, this room is suitable for those who don’t like scares & those who do. There are currently two games to play at U-Escape and there are additional rooms under construction so keep an eye out for more information.
