Review - Times Scare - New York City
The following review was provided by one of our readers and does not necessarily represent the views and opinions of ScareTOUR:
I felt the attraction's location was fantastic; only minute's away from Times Square, and if done properly could have been a real deal breaker. Unfortunately, this was not the case for me.
Don't get me wrong, it was a lot of fun, the actors were enthusiastic and the sets were nice, but was it really worth $26? The staff all around the place advertise that it takes 15-20 minutes to get around, however it took less than 10 (for me anyway).
The overall experience begins with the first scene: a hotel reception where the rules are stablished (no running, recording etc.) We then ascend up the stairs and already the atmosphere is building up. The attraction was a mix of memorable scenes including: being chased by a girl who eats people's hearts, a room with 6 doors that you're forced to open, one by one, and a cliché chainsaw finale.
All in all, while it was a good distraction of the hustle and bustle of the city (and a good fright) I would only ever go again if the price was lowered significantly. It's honestly not worth the admission.
