Terror Tours - Clumber Park
Terror Tours are a theatrical troupe who provide scary walks and tours around different venues in the UK. Their stories are specific to each location and for Halloween they brought their show to Clumber park in Nottinghamshire
The location is perfect for a ghost walk as it is already reputedly haunted by the Grey Lady of Clumber park and the Terror Tour team have ensured that this famous local legend was included in the show. Loosely based on a childhood possession, the evening started with a presentation detailing the 4 stages of possession.
The tour itself then took guests around the park, following a young girl through her possession journey. The audience, along with the girl, were haunted (by sounds, smells & visual sightings) to start with but soon things got worse as she progressed through the stages. By the time she had got to stage 3 she was was being physically thrown about by the ghost (albeit using a bit of theatrical trickery!)
The effects and drama all built up to one final scene set in an abandoned cabin in the middle of the woods. In here, the girl had become fully possessed by the Grey Lady and a load off theatrical tricks and effects including, lights flickering, things flying off the bookshelf, and furniture moving of its own accord helped to create a terrifying finale

Hi my family and I would like to thank all who set up and acted in the possession show last night. We had a great evening jumping out of our skin and laughing with fright, We took our 3 older children with us who had no idea that they were going to the event until they got there, they absolutely loved it. They talked about it all the way home and laughed at themselves recollecting the evening. We will definitely be telling our friends all about it and recommending they jump at the opportunity to go to one of these shows.
