Scream: One Way Out at Madame Tussauds
The Scream: One Way Out attraction has been a staple at Madame Tussauds for a number of years and provides a short sharp shock for those brave enough to enter.
The key thing to note about Scream is that ever since it's installation, the iconic and famous Chamber of Horrors has virtually all been eaten up by the attraction meaning that the more historical and factual element of the chamber no longer really exists. If you aren't brave enough to enter Scream then there really is no reason for people to go down into that basement.
But this is where the fun begins, on every visit through we always feel that there are people who genuinely don't know what they are entering. Yes there are signs in different languages, but the people walking through Scream are not the sort of people who would usually visit a scare attraction!. This usually means that the screams coming from within are often some of the loudest we've heard!
Due to the large groups entering the attraction at a time, the scares can be a bit hit and miss especially when the actors are scaring people around you and you don't get targeted. Fortunately on our visit, the lively actors seemed to pick on us from the start and we had a very jumpy run through!
There was nothing in Scream to indicate that it was Halloween which does seem a bit of a missed opportunity for the venue. Saying that though, the terrified tourists around us didn't seem to care and most of them just spent the whole experience just screaming in fright!
Scream: One Way Out is open daily and is included in general admission: www.madametussauds.com/london/
