National Justice Museum - Fright Nights
Upon entering the building, we couldn’t help noticing what a fantastic venue this was going to be for a scare attraction. The old-fashioned monuments and eerie shadows everywhere really set the mood, for a spooky experience. But what we got was much scarier.
Soon after entering, the lights went out, and out of nowhere we could hear a sound. Thud. Thud. Thud, it repeated, until we noticed a shadow emerging down the stairs dragging a dead body. It was great start and really set our nerves on edge.
After a narrative scene, he then asked us to follow him, and we soon found ourselves in an old court room which was the start of our journey through the 1800s. Along the way we experienced grave diggers, a terrified mother and her dead baby, and any number of historical (but scary) characters.
Our journey continued down through the old cells, and without any light the walls seemed tight and the air thick. We could feel the cold and could only imagine what it would be like back in those days. But before our minds could stray, we were met with a fearful presence, followed by multiple scares and tactile effects from there on in.
Without even realizing it, more and more “ghosts” were surrounding us and taunting us, before all of sudden, we were outside in an old courtyard and the ghosts were gone!
For a new event. the whole experience was great fun throughout. We loved the interaction at the start to tell us the story, and the location of the old cells was incredibly atmospheric for a scare event. These would be eerie enough in the day light, but the dark gave it a whole new level.
Well done to the team at the National Justice Museum for putting on such a fun event, and we will definitely return!
