The Haunted Hotel by Trapped Gloucester
When you have visited as many scare attractions and horror themed room escapes as we have, it's quite hard not to get just a little bit jaded. We still love these events (otherwise why would we keep doing them?), but it is getting harder and harder to genuinely leave us speechless. Therefore, it was such a great surprise when we headed to Trapped Gloucester to try out their Haunted Hotel room.
Interestingly - the venue don't really play up the scare factor of this event. We actually thought it was just a fun theme for a different style of room. Little did we know that the room would have us genuinely screaming in fear at several moments during our hour!
As we usually say in these reviews - it really is difficult not to give anything away, but everything about this room oozed class. From the detailed theming, a great introductory video, and some very devious puzzles. From the moment we entered to our final escape with just a few minutes spare, we were completely immersed in the story.
To say any more , really would ruin the surprises along the way. All we can say is we highly recommend that you go into this room blind - you'll thank us afterwards!
After our escape we took a quick look at the other two rooms at the venue, and both look amazing. Although not scare related - the attention to detail in their latest room - The Hangover is outstanding. We look forward to going back and trying our hand at the different games!
