Haunted Hall
Have you ever visited a location that you loved so much and thought it would be perfect for a haunted house? That was what Susi Zayas Vergas was thinking during one of here visits to the Beverwijkse Bazaar, an indoor market selling all kind of stuff. See contacted the owners of the market three years ago and asked them if she could build a haunted house inside? They told her to bring her plans to them and the rest is history!
This year the Haunted Hall opens for the third time. This 10 minute walk through haunted house is hidden behind the facade of a castle. Inside we were met by all kind of horror characters including clowns to zombies and from crazy doctors through to movie icons like Jason. We passed through many famous horror scenes, and the attention to detail was amazing.
There where some very impressive details, and effects. Like a ringing phone when you passed it and a cross that turned upside down as we approached. Also, it was clear that the sets where designed with the actors in mind, as they were able to attack us multiple times. There was even even part of the haunted house that you had to walk twice before they let you advance into the next part of the haunted house! The actors really make this haunted house. We visited Haunted Hall on the preview evening and event then the scare actors where already playing their parts very well. The characters were all believable and most of the scares where spot on with perfect timing.
Over all Haunted Hall is a good haunted house, and worth a try if you are in the area. It is about a 20 minutes above Amsterdam and open every Saturday and Sunday in October from 11:30 till 18:00 hour. The entrance price is only €3,75, which is only a little bit more than 3 pounds. So if you are in the area give it - it will surprise you.
