Met by security and parking attendants we were guided to the parking area’s. Very well lit with someone waiting to meet you, with a glow light ready to direct you to your parking space.
A short walk back and you are inside the venue. Punters, mazes, burger bars, crowd pleasers, all hustling around doing their thing.
The various mazes are dotted around with no real direction or flow. Once inside the mazes the internal theme is fitting. Lots of boo scares and cleverly thought out animatronics. Set dress is high standard and really well thought out. The outside maze is in a corn field with scarecrows and actors at various stages. Unfortunately one of the rides was out of action due to weather conditions. Although this didn’t really matter as they’d managed to get a Hearse half in a metal container so you didn’t really know what you was missing.
The crowd entertainers were fun and engaged with the public. Some wittier than others.
In the complex there is a large barn. Inside is a haunted house. Prefabricated it actually doesn’t look out of place. Visually stunning and deceiving from the outside to what is inside.
Inside it is also visually stunning, with a lot of time and attention spent on the look and feel of the place. Some more expensive animatronics are used for this, possibly because it is better protected and out of the way of the elements.
The last maze of the night was the most engaging one of all, with actual psychical contact, (we were warned at the start) although you could have done this at anytime, the only notable direction was the wristband you was wearing with numbered tags that were taken at the start of every maze.
Its run by some very enthusiastic people and on a small budget they’ve done well with what they have. The ambition is high and i can’t wait to see what it will evolve into. Its a little bit like Tulleys Farms little brother but a good night out all the same.
