Amsterdam Spook 2013
Amsterdam SPOOK were giving away the prize of a lifetime at ScareCON 2013. Flights, accommodation and tickets to Amsterdam’s biggest, most prestigious Halloween party. The fancy dress competition held at ScareCon concluded with 2 couples being chosen as worthy winners by Bloody Mary. The vote then went to the public to choose their favorite costume. As such, the Mimes narrowly beat the Crashed Pilots in the polls to win this outstanding prize.
The annual Amsterdam SPOOK Halloween Party is a part of Amsterdam’s Halloween festival. The event welcomes Halloween lovers from all over to celebrate their favorite holiday in style. Since its inception in the year 2000, the Halloween party has got bigger and better over its 13 sinister years. This years party was housed in the grand Felix Meritis building, just a stone’s throw from Amsterdam’s city centre. Upon entering the building we were transported to a Scary Tales land where Evil Pixies, Werewolves and Mad Hatters all masqueraded with excellence.
We like to think we fitted in rather well with these like-minded Halloween loving mythical creatures of the night. There wasn’t a ‘human’ in site, every person in the building got into the Halloween spirit with some outstanding fancy dress and make-up. The staff, entertainers and party-goers all made the atmosphere of the evening electric with their desire for all things scary. This made for a charming and exhilarating party night out. We were treated to multiple rooms of different types of music and entertainment. From live music to DJ sets, we really were spoilt for choice. Entertainment on hand was both charming and thrilling. Storytelling, puppeteering and burlesque added depth to the party atmosphere.
Amsterdam SPOOK have an obvious passion for all things Halloween, and the Halloween party is no exception. A beautiful location, like-minded people, very fair drinks prices along with the great party atmosphere all added to the wonderful Halloween festivities. We would like to commend Amsterdam SPOOK for delivering such a fantastic evening for Halloween lovers. We would also like to thank them to offer this event as such a remarkable prize during ScareCons annual event
