Interview with Leah Guttridge - I Survived a Zombie Apocalypse
With the arrival of the new zombie survival experience on BBC Three - we had a quick catch up with Leah - one of the contestants :
ScareTOUR: What made you want to live in a zombie apocalypse?
Leah: I wanted to live in the zombie apocalypse to prove I can cope and survive in that situation, and prove that people should not pre judge other people.
ST: How did you prepare yourself for life with zombies?
LG: I didn't do much preparation before the apocalypse. I was pretty confident that I would be ok ...until I got in there and realised I probably should have done some more.
ST: What was the scariest moment during the apocalypse?
LG: The scariest moment was definitely my entrance. I was being chased by 20 plus zombies and had no idea whether the survivors would see my on the CCTV, or even let me into base.
ST: What's your favourite horror film?
LG: My favourite horror film is Nightmare on Elm Street. I love them all. They're not as scary as some of the other horror films, but the old ones are always the best. Everyone knows Freddy.
ST: Do you have a favourite scare attraction? If so. Why?
I haven't been to many scare attractions. I've been to Pasaje del Terror in Blackpool.. that's really scary!
ST: How realistic was the experience?
LG: The experience was so realistic. When you're living it for that long it becomes real life. You have barely any food, have to live with a bunch of people you don't know and are constantly worried the zombies are going to break in. It's very stressful.
ST: Describe the experience in 3 words
LG: My experience in three words.... Terrifying. Stressful. Annoying.
ST: Would you ever do anything like this again?
LG: I would do something like this again but I would definitely prepare myself! My stamina is non-existent! I think I would need to sort that out before another apocalypse!
ST: Do you plan on working with zombies again in the future?
LG:No plans at the minute but I would love too. Whilst I was on the show I hated every second; the stress, the drama, the fear. But now looking back I kind of miss the compound.
