Haunted Asylum
In the centre of Dundee on a cold, dark, wet Friday evening huddled around a small camp fire I was eagerly awaiting my turn to venture into The Haunted Asylum!
As the time came for our group to enter, with the door slamming behind us we were greeted by the Asylum Warden who would set down the rules of the Asylum. We were also at this point given a safe word and we were sent on our way to meet the inmates of the Asylum.
The Haunted Asylum lasted approximately 15mins with 4 actor led rooms that were all different and unique. With each room there would be a story to tell and you can tell that inmates have been left to run amok. Audience participation was also involved and it had similarities to the likes of the Dungeons attractions.
The set, lighting and sound design was on par with larger attractions, from the moment you stepped through that front door to exiting the attraction, you can tell that alot of thought and heart went into creating this attraction. I look forward to what they bring for next year!
